I am the sponsor and my husband is in India, so they will call me to be present in the interview if necessary, according to the letter we have received for the interview?

What proofs do they accept for the genuineness of our marriage?

I appeared for the interview last month. My wife was not with me. The first question they asked me was why is she not with you in the interview? I had all the required documents with me including an album with all my wedding pictures (friends and families included), WhatsApp chat for all the years I've been away from my wife, any gift receipts or money transfer receipts or travel itinerary, video call screenshots with my in-laws and her with my parents. Believe me, I had every document (both original and photocopies) they could have asked for at that very moment All they asked me for was my passport, my marriage certificate (the religious one) and my recent WhatsApp chat history. I only got printed two or three dates from each month of 2022 and then they cross-questioned me about missing dates and I was shut. Later I replied with the actual reason for not printing all the chats which were over 1000 pages. But please make sure you get each and everything printed they will ask or they might not ask you but you have to be well prepared. The more the Merrier. Anyways my interview went very well except for that chat part. I answered all the questions confidently and I got approved and got pre-arrival the same day. My interview was very short maybe 10 to 12 minutes and they never called my wife.

Following questions were asked by the visa officer in the interview:

They asked me about the journey of our relationships; how, when, where we met and what did we do when we met each other (I remember I said each and everything that I have mentioned in my application when I submitted it first), so make sure you go prepared-read every information you have entered in your application when you first submitted it.

They asked me how much do I earn in a year, and how much my wife earns. You should be perfect with the numbers because if they have a doubt they might cross-queson with your spouse on that spot and if they did not match it’s going to be a problem (make sure you run every number (salary, home rent, car loan, education loan if any, working days, days off etc) with your spouse before the interview, it shouldn’t be a problem anyways.

Does your wife send your money, if yes how much and how often?

Has your wife visited you while your application is in Progress? If yes, when and where did you guys stay? If not why hasn't she visited you?

Details about her siblings and parents.

Only reply to what they ask you for. Do not try to give them extra information which they haven't asked you as it might land you with the tails of questions.

Please be polite and respectful with your visa officer. You might find their way of asking questions rude and disrespectful but remember he is the one who will give a decision on your application.

I hope this will help you and boost your confidence to appear in your interview. All the very best.

I

I feel you. I contacted local MP, 3 times GCMS notes (no singe update), tried calling NDVO multiple times, tried reaching via LinkedIn, Twitter, FB and all the tools but NOT A SINGLE UPDATE!!! Feels like I wanna just go and sit outside NDVO and wait there for someone who gives a damn about us!!
I totally agree with you. No idea or clue how NDVO working ? People just waiting and stuck at NDVO. Let's be unit and show our enger quietly out side of NDVO. our voice must reach to the New appointed Canadian Immigration Minister.

Please have a patience as NDVO taking 10 times more than others. I am asking you that can you see your IME document number with expiry date? Also did they created your COPR Document?
I can see IME doc. They have not created COPR doc. Copr doc is created when ppr is issued. So hopefully soon for all of us
