"Do your homework" means (for me, and I may not be absolutely right. This is just my personal experience):
1. Read, read, and read, This very helpful forum, lots of CanLII (I went through over 200 board decisions of similar nature)
Until you clearly understand what they are looking for when asking questions, and what may be tricky for you.
2. Go through your full story, through all your life, deep to ther very small details, togeter with your spose. A few times. Try to avoid attempts to make things look more beatiuful than they are. These people don't care how nice and beatiful your realtionship is. It has to be real, that's it.
But... in case you still want to correct some points (it happens, no one is perfect. Some things may be just unexpalainable) - make them real in your mind. Knit them into the reality, again to the very small details. Othewise you will fail on that.
I can tell you, how we did our Skype logs. We had to translate, as they were all in Russian. And this was simply unreal to translate it all, over 2000 pages... I ended up cutting contents out of the middle of each day, leaving the beginning and the end. Tho show how long
conversations are and how often. And also left what appeared to be important for the appeal, not things like daily ``Oh, honey, I miss you so much...`and stuff like that.
