Yes, I hear it's faster in Vancouver too. Lucky you! :) Sure, that sounds like a good idea to me! You could get a lawyer or immigration consultant to help you organize all your proof, and then your wife can go to the ADR alone. I never got an ADR (it was cancelled), but I understand, that lawyers don't speak during an ADR anyways! You can decide on whether to hire a lawyer or not, after the ADR. Sorry, I don't know any lawyers in BC. Sometimes, doing some research on the internet, can help you find a good lawyer/consultant. Good luck!
Hi, sorry for my ignorance but can you give me an idea of what happens at an ADR?? and would that mean I must travel to Vancouver for that?

my wife from British Columbia so our appeal will take place in Vancouver .
i heard it's faster .
what about a consultation help , like someone will help us to prepare the appeal , proofs , evidences and my wife goes to the ADR alone and if we couldn't win it at the informal hearing then we should have a lawyer , is it bad idea ??
or if you know an trusted one in BC , please tell us about him/her

I live close to Vancouver and got full hearing in Vancouver. I hired an immigration consultant... she is a bulldozer.... a fighter. Her mind is like a laser. Our case was very difficult and complex and we won! Let me know if you are interested to contact her. Please note that she is going away for the summer to her hometown. You can wait for her return or she can refer you to one of her best friends who is an immigration lawyer. I saw him in action when I went to a full hearing as a witness prior to my own full hearing. Also he guided my consultant with complex matters regarding our case.

if they have given you a date then you may have to go for it but if they have asked you to send the documents only, den you dont need to go for it. but how ever it wont be a full hearing, if they have mentioned as early resolution
but dont think its like an interview its more than an interview but may only for 1 or 2 hours
but dont worry i dint tell you these to make you scared and not all the case are same every one is different from each other
so do what ever according to your situation
or you must tell the correct clear thing here that why you were refused then here are lots of people like you who refused for the same reason what you were refused
so then they can give you advices
good luck anyways

sorry but what is a ADR ?? im waiting for our refusel letter and wants to appeal too in Vancouver..i dont know how to get CAIPS either..

Hey I am very sorry to hear your case.

I am shocked to know this. I am feeling sad for you brother.

One quick question

When you did proxy marriage did you register your marriage in India ? If yes then you can prove this through appeal now. And also you can show that you are genuine with lot of proofs build up during your stay together.

best wishes to all of us to have a smooth quick beneficial appeal .
i've a question what's the difference between CAIPS and GCSM notes ?
how long does it take and how much does it cost ?
and why we should order them ?
has anybody received the refusal letter yet ?

be patient please , it's just a waiting game and the true strong loves win .
ya rb !
