guys should we make joint account??? submitted evidence and waiting of date now....plz give me advise thank u

I was actually asked by the minister's counsel at the Full hearing why we don't have a joint Bank account. But we had credit card together, remittances sent, we purchased a car together, furnitures, etc. It was not only my sponsor who sent money, I also sent money when my sponsor needed it. We were also asked for what purposes were those money sent. And we don't have a bank account because we rather have it in our debit cards when I was living in Canada with my partner. I was also asked what was our arrangement in terms of shared expenses when we lived together.

Hi saniali did u send your passport to visa office or not yet. We sent it last Friday but it's already 10 days but no update yet. And my husband called vfs for the update and they made him worried by saying that sending passport to visa office doesn't guarantee that you are getting visa it could be rejection also. My god I can't wait more now.plz update on forum if you get passport back before me if you can. I ll update if I get it before you.

Too late now. What are the reasons why you did not think about having a joint bank account. You have to tell the judge and minister counsel the reasons.

Hello client2016,
While having joint assets etc is for sure helpful, it is not necessary. My husband and I did not have any joint assets or accounts but still were able to win the appeal. I think if you have lived together in the past and if it is common in your culture to have joint assets then you should have at least some joint stuff together. But even then it is not necessary. Even in Canada many married couples do not have joint accounts. The reason i did not create any joint assets before he arrived here was because it was not certain if it was possible for us to be together. Of course we would have tried anything to make that happen but if it did not then why? I mean if you have children together then it makes sense but otherwise i dont believe its necessary.

It takes about 3 weeks to get passport back with visa. Calling vfs or anyone else is not helpful.

No two cases are alike. If we haven't lived with our spouse for a significant length of time, having joint bank account or assets would appear as fabricated evidence

Hi dear friends,
One question about re-filling IMM5669 Q6-(d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including ......), or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

Every friend here in this forum all have been refused permanent resident visa. Should I tick (yes) or (no)?

Thank you in advance!

That's true Thommo. The lack of joint Bank account was asked both at my ADR and Full hearing. But if you have other things to show that you and you partner are Financially Interdependent that's acceptable also.

What could possibly go wrong :o. Don't worry you will get your visa soon and i think that is just the standard reply of people from vfs.

You should tick YES. My wife had applied for a visitor visa, it was rejected, we said yes, and she now has her visa.

My wife was in China. We did not have a joint account. We win appeal. They did ask how much cash she had, and also how much i have. They also asked if i had sent her money. I think the big thing is to be truthful, and be short with your answers. I just answered yes or no to many questions.
