Hi Guys! Quite a while here. How are you all doing? Congratulations to every one that got their ADR approved. Mine is next in Jesus name.
Please i need you all to put me through. We have been given an interview date (ADR interview)in a couple of months. Please we are really preparing and we dont want to take any chances. Pls what are the likely question they will ask my husband.
My husband is the one sponsoring me. He holds a Canada PR. The bases for my PR refusal ;the consular said that our marriage was entered into in a rush (This is his 3rd marriage) and my own 2nd marriage .We got married after 9 month we met. She also said she doubt the genuiness of our marriage. Based on these

Hi i sent notice of appeal by September last within 10 days they asked us to submit documents to decide for adr they gave us 30 days time the refusal was for we dint have priest in our wedding thats it so we collected many citations and affidavit notarised and news articles about the law stating marriage widout priest is legal in our country aand submitted to ird and minister councel now we got our adr for march they are asking us to submit the documents before 10 days now my question is we have already submitted docs now what should i send again and how can i ask them to consider ther previous docs also for adr bcoz i submitted original affidavit and notarised citations. We also quit our representative since he dint help us much

You will have to submit more evidential documents. More pictures, printout conversation between you and your spouse, Bbm chats,whatsapp etc if theres any. If your spouse has sent you money too,u need a print out of it, then their area of concern , you need to get letters from families and friends who were present at your wedding also stating in the lettet that priest doesnt have to be available to make your wedding legal in your country, make many copies of journal where "the priest clause" was addressed etc.
Please ensure you send them proofs...more document. Nothing is too much . Give them and many as you can lay your hands on.

Anyone looking for what questions will be asked at appeal and adr. There are posts a few pages back. Just go back and screen shot or print out the questions and helpful hints. When I first came here back in 2015 I read all of the posts that I thought were helpful.

You can email scanned copies of the documents both to Ottawa and to your visa office.

Any guy who sent appeal in Feb 2016 and got blue book in June 2016....did they get any date of hearing still ...yesterday my lawyer sent all evidence to IAD...she wanted strong proof so she sent late.plz reply....hard to live wdout partner.Help plz

Sounds like you are out of luck for ADR. Wait for hearing is anywhere from 9 months to 3 years from when you sent in the appeal, depending on which city the sponsor is living in. Your lawyer should be in a better position to tell you what the typical wait times are in your part of the country.

Also, if your application is allowed at hearing, be prepared to wait an additional 5-12 months before Visa/COPR is received.

Hi guys i got refusal on august 2016 and asked to submit docs after appeal then we got date for adr on march 7th the refusal was for indian marriages need priest for wedding anyhow in our state priest is not mandatory and the law was also amended 50 years ago so we submitted all citations news articles every possible proofs... wen my husband went for adr the DRO and Minister counsel dint ask him any questions they right away told him its our mistake bt we cant allow appeal right here so we will be sending the file back to india since they made this decision and asked my husband to sign for appeal withdrawal... they also told him i may or may not have interview else they wil directly send medical request it wil take 6 to 8 months...

Now how long it wil take again... thnks for the members help

Toronto, 2 years. I think it is 3 years in Quebec. Remember, after your appeal is allowed, it just goes back into the regular process stream at the VO. There is no special consideration, despite the fact that you've already lost two years of your life together.
