Our appeal on misinterpretation. My husband never told me that he applied before to enter Canada, and was rejected. This was during tsunami time. In that application, his information was different from present application. There was 3 questions that he didn't answer properly.

1. How many siblings
2. Education
3. Work

That lady officer giving rude impression. My husband not allowed to enter Canada, but the judge told me she will send a letter if the appeal pass or fail. I am worried. My lawyer gave good proves, but really that officer made our case look bad.

Do you have any idea what will happen next?

Thanks

The # of siblings, education, and work, did he deliberately give wrong information about these things? Or was it just an honest mistake and he happen to not know how his siblings, education, etc?

When he applied before was it for family sponsorship?

He applied in 2005. It wasn't a family sponsorship. It was for tsunami application. That time people started to apply, so he voluntarily put one. His uncle in Canada applied.

Previous application in 2005, his brother wasn't with him, was in another country. So he did honestly answer both application. Present, his brother was with him. Every answer was an honest answer, but the officer didn't like it, thinking we are lying.

Anyone know how long it will take for the decision letter to arrive after having a full hearing? I had my full hearing on August 19, 2015.

Hello Everyone, hope somebody could answer again my query We will have ADR on Oct and my husband want to hire a lawyer to be with him for this adr conference. To those who had experienced adr hearing with lawyer, does your lawyer allowed to ask questions, answer questions or speak regarding anything about your case?

We had full hearing appeal on July 21 and we still waiting for the decision letter. Our lawyer told this letter will take between 1 to 3 months. A friend had her full hearing the first week of june And she is also waiting for her decision letter. No way just to be patient. After being waiting for 2 years, few more months is not to much.

My lawyer spoke during the ADR when she felt she had to clarify something. At the end, she was given the opportunity to ask questions.

In my case they started at 9:00am after the oath my lawyer started to ask questions to my husband for about 2 hours take a break and continue with immigration officer. At 12:30 lunch time until 1:30. They called me at 2:00 our lawyer asked me question for more than one hour and the officer for about 45minutes. The judge never ask my husband said that she just took notes for everything we said. After we closed the phone they started to interview my step son in this case just the immigration officer ask few questions because he is just 15. After that my lawyer started to give to the judge all the reasons why our marriage is genuine and the immigration officer why they don't think our marriage is genuine. They finished at 4:00 pm and the judge said to wait for the decision letter. I think all cases are different but know about other give you and idea about what is going on there. Good luck to all.

Yes, this what happened to me. I started to panic at the end, and the judge said to wait for decision letter.

Wife210 and Ajarupan, I really hope you will hear the good news soon, I can understand the anxiety you are having. Waiting for the result is always the hardest part, I remember when I waited for my result from the interview, my stomach felt upside down. Thanks for sharing what happens at the court date. I feel better knowing they take turn to ask questions, I was worry, the 2 lawyers from both sides need to fight and interupt each other when the other side ask inappropriate questions or they have to try to take control of the other side ...etf... I thought its like the court we watch on TV :), where both sides yelling objection.,.,etc...

i will have mine in about 2 weeks..my anxiety is growing...is there anything you guys wish you have done differently at the interview? any stuff that we should focus more while reviewing everything?

Hi Soblue3, long time no see. How are you and your husband coping so far? Are you in Tunisia now?

no i am back here..was there couple of months ago. well we are doing ok under the circumstances. of course we are worried..my lawyer said that we can succeed i hope he is right. he also said our application was great and nothing mnissing there and they only refused because of the age difference. and he could see from looking at the application that she has not even read it because of all the mistakes she made in the notes. really i am very nervous but nothing more i can do just wait and hope for the best. How are you and your wife doing. is she enjoying her life in Canada?
