Sorry but I'm not sure that's entirely correct. If you fail the initial application process, then you fail the appeal (usually for the same reasons) then it is likely you will fail the JR. Once you apply again, you are more likely to fail again unless you have addressed CIC issues with the first application. At any time you can be turned down for health, security or other.

I wasn't talking about someone who was going for JR. I was talking about someone who won their appeal. If you win your appeal when you were turned down for non-genuine marriage they cannot refuse you for non-genuine marriage again. Of course, they can still refuse you for failed medical, failed security/background check or misrepresentation, as I said in the post.

Hello,
My husband applied for PR in April 2017, he is applying outside of Canada from Albania. His Visa Office is Rome. The final decision on his PR application was made in May 2018. He was then ultimately refused.
We appealed the decision two weeks later and have had two separate hearings at IRCC (one half day hearing on July 23rd and the second was a full day hearing) in Toronto since, at our most recent full day hearing on September 30th we won the appeal. The decision was made during the hearing.Since then I received the judges written decision in the mail the following week and the application was said to be returned to Rome to be reprocessed. How long does it usually take for correspondence from the Visa Office? I expected an email to confirm that they have received the application by now. I was told it would be roughly 4-6 months before they will issue a visa (following criminal submissions and medical). I check our Client ID online and nothing has been updated since the refusal decision made in May 2018. Since they haven’t resumed processing the application I worry that the wait will be longer than 4-6 months and we have already waited 2 years and 7 months. Thank you any knowledgeable advice would be appreciated!

Hi all. My husbands inland spousal application was refused. Are we allowed to appeal or is that only outland? Also I don't understand the letter it seems pretty generic. I have heard that a lawyer and gcms notes are needed. Thanks

They will ask you about children, religion, sex, family, extended family, work, finances. There is no dignity there. Expect to be mocked, derided by the immigration lawyer for CID and also by the adjudicator who has no legal requirement to be impartial. Our hearing was one day, rushed and 3 hours long for each of us. Our lawyer charged us $8k and we lost.

Hello all, can anyone recommend or give me details as I need to have some documents translated for the IAD. They stated they need a signed declaration by the translator that states the language that was translated and that the translation is accurate. I dont know if any translators do that.
