friend of mine also got nomination last month.
as per my information if any pakistani applicant is going to apply for work permit after nomination in islamabad,he wont get it. and it will waste of arround 6-8 months ,thats why its better to apply directly to CIO for immigration. :'(

I got my job offer in person. We went out to SK 4 years ago to visit friends and started calling into various companies and dropping off my resumes, I also sent resumes via email but got very few responses back, apart from one.. this was from a job I applied for and the guy was interested in my experience and asked me to call in and see him when were next in SK... this was the guy who eventually offered me a job 2 years later.

It really helps to get over there and meet people face to face and build up contacts.

HEY..! !! frds need advice pls help......we had applied in july 2011.. we received additional document request in nov 2011(documents include-finiacial certificate of our funds and detailed job description of the principal applicant... In april 2012 we had mailed the sinp immigration to know the status of our application applied we received wAS "N process"........
Today we got call from our agent stating that its '''wait on the applicant status again''''.... my agent is ask me the wife of principal applicant to do ielts again (which i already did in july 2010) as they are assuming that the document that they require now would juz be this..... we are really confused pls help..shud i give the ielts again ..or its related something to nomination..

I think you have to re-take the IELTS because its validity is only for 2 years. Since you had it last July 2010, it's 2 years and 1 month of age already.

In 2009, I went to SK to study. I applied for work permit then found an employer. You can try saskjobs or actyl immigration(actyl.com) They recruit foreign workers for specific jobs in sask.

I'd like to know if forum members that applied in 2011 have been nominated by SINP. This includes Family and Skilled workers. I assumed earlier that the rules introduced in May 2012 would allow SINP focus on the backlog.

My application for Skilled Worker with Job offer was submitted to SINP in November 2011, my employer in Canada received a call from SINP last Wednesday (29th) to verify the job offer was genuine and to check the company details. My employer in Canada was told that my file is at final review stage, so I'm hoping we will get our nomination in the next few weeks. Once I have heard anything, I will post on here.

Hopefully I will be booking my flights from the UK very soon

Can anybody tell me LMO(Labour Market Opinion) is necessary for Canidaian Employer to approve the Job
from SINP Employer Unit??

Last Thursday I went to an MLA here in Regina with my boss to explain my situation (my visa runs out on Sept 30, 2012 and SINP received my file on October 27, 2011).
He promised to make phone calls and the next day I got a phone call from SINP telling me that I contacted a minister to find out whats going on because no one would tell me and they promised to do everything possible to get me my nomination before the end of September.

Yesterday I got an email requesting me to fill in my name and DOB on the NET WORTH form which I stupidly forgot (I think because everything else I could enter on the screen and when I printed it I just saw that I filled it out and didn't see the line with name and DOB). I was so mad, still am. It took them 10 frickin MONTHS to let me know that I forgot to enter Name and DOB on a form that is unimporatant because I didn't enter funds to get the points and they got it multiple times on other forms already anyway. It's not like they have no clue who I am and when I was born. They also requested the last two pages of 100-1 because it changed on November 29, 2011 (1 month after they received my application). The Net Worth form was calculating wrong as well. It entered the same amounts in all three spaces at the bottom. "1" - "1" is sure not "1" and I don't have anything in liabilities to begin with.

That whole BS sounds like they are poutting because I was desperate and contacted an MLA. Nice way of fishing for more time.
