Landing Experience

Dear all, sorry for the delay in sharing my landing experience with you. I will make it very short to focus on the important part that you should know.

Well, our flight was Dragon Air and Cathay Pacific that costs us around 72K taka per person from Dhaka to Toronto. We were allowed 2 pcs of luggage each 23 Kg, and one laptop bag and another hand bag upto 5 KG (but they are ok upto 7 to 10 kg, as they allowed me).

Our flight was at 2am on 25 th feb and we reached airport around 11 pm. I was worried about the foreign currency I had with me, what i did was placed the canadian currency along with my other pile of documents. Please be informed that from the money exchange agent you can only endorse upto 1000 usd, and from the banks you can endorse upto 5000 usd. i just endorsed 1K usd and carried the rest of canadian dollars with me. they scanned my luggage and bags in airport and everything was fine. One important thing you should know, the person at the counter take weight of our laptop bag as well which they normally never do (first time in my life it happened). my luggage were each 25kg and i knew they will be ok with it.

we left for Hong Kong which is supposed to be a 4 hour flight but our aircraft reached within 3:30 hour. the hong kong airport has free wifi and you can use it to make calls via Skype, viber, etc. From hong kong we started for Toronto which was approx. 15 hour flight. after arriving to Toronto, you can again use free wifi to make calls right after getting out of the aircraft. At customs, the lady did not even want see our declaration for the goods accompanying, rather she asked for declaration of goods that will follow. ( I followed Qorax's post, that was reposted by Ashif bhai to create the declaration). for jewellery items, it is important take print of the pictures to be very specific with them. within 5mins our customs was done and we are out. :)

Hope this helps!!! And lets pray for each other so that we all achieve success asap!!!

Thanks for sharing! Best of luck with everything in the future!

Dear Bro,
Congrats as you got MR request!

The answers are as follows....

If you wish to send through regular mail then the address would be...

High Commission of Canada to Singapore
P.O. Box 845. Robinson Road
Singapore 901645

But If you wish to send through courier then the address would be...

High Commission of Canada to Singapore
One George Street, #11-01
Singapore 049145

I hope better option is courier as you can track and confirms upon receiving. On the other side regular mail will take time and uncertain.

Secondly, regarding your payment option...

Bank Draft/payment instructions:

If you are paying in Canadian dollars, the bank draft should be addressed to : The Receiver General for Canada.
If you are paying in Singapore dollars, the bank draft should be made payable to the: The High Commission of Canada to Singapore.
Print your name on the back of the bank draft.
Your payment must accompany your application.

FOR BANGLADESH: Standard Chartered Bank is the ONLY bank in Bangladesh from which they accept bank drafts
Please ensure that the bank does not forward your bank draft to the Visa Section.

Right of permanent residence fee

Applicant CAD$ 490 Or, SGD$ 522
Spouse/Partner CAD$ 490 Or, SGD$ 522

You can pay in either currency at your convenience.

Please note that dependent children of a principal applicant do not required to pay the RPRF.

Finally, Passport should be submitted upon request, not before.

I hope you got all your answers.

Kind regards

Thanks for rectification masud bhai :)

Hi Bro,

Recently there are many applicants had received similar email from SGVO for Bangladeshi applicant because VO not satisfied the employment letter submission in initial stage.

So now again you need to submit all kind of supporting documents from your employment letter, such as -
 • Provide a fresh employment letter from HR stating your employment duration and working hour till now.
 • Provide another fresh updated job duty letter from your boss/line manager with a detailed job duties syncing with your NOC and previous submitted job duty letter.
 • Collect again all relevant employments letter such as your Promotion/salary increment/bonus letter/last six months payslips etc.

For employment reference should have the following characteristics:

 • The reference must be on the official letterhead of the company;

 • The letterhead should indicate clearly the full address of the company and any telephone, telex or facsimile numbers;

 • The name and position of the person authorized to sign the employment reference should be typed or stamped below that person's signature – a reference with an illegible signature will not be accepted; preferably a senior manager or above of a company.

 • The contact details i.e. telephone number of the person writing the reference should be indicated on the letter.

 • Business card/ visiting card of authorized signatory's is preferable to provide.

 • The letter should indicate the exact period of employment (exact date is preferable, including whether permanent or temporary, full or part-time, state the number of hours worked in a week), position/s held, at least the FIVE MAIN DUTTES UNDERTAKEN and salary earned – positions should not be described by generic titles (eg research officer, public servant) but according to the nature of the duties undertaken (eg research chemist, account clerk);

 • Payslips from your current employment should also be included.

Hope for the best ... :) :) :)

Thanks Shamrajjo vai for your suggestion. But I have a question. Hope you can give me solution of the questions.

Q 1. Where should I send the papers?

Q 2. Do I have to send those papers with a forwarding letter?? If yes, what should be the format?

Q 3. Do I need to provide the previous papers photocopy?? because my salary is increased than before, so if I send again the salary certificate there will be a mismatch.

Q 4. My boss/ line manager need to provide any forwarding letter??

And finally, do you or any one you know have the reference letter for NOC 2281. Because I don't want to take any risk now. please help me brother. Thanks in advance

Dear Bhaia,

Thanks a lot. Got the answer just a little verification needs to be made :

Following Documents need to be submitted to High Commission of Canada to Singapore,
One George Street, #11-01
Singapore 049145 within 60 days

- Completed form IMM 5669 Schedule A with updated information for me and my dependents (Form can be found online):

- Police Clearance

- 4 recent passport photos (taken within last 3 months) of myself and my dependents . Only one of the photos in each set the name and date of birth of the person appearing in the photo. Without STAPLE PHOTOGRAPHS.

- Right of Permanent Residence Fee (the said Bank Draft in a form of CAD or SGD )

Is Medical Test result will be submitted by the doctor itself and parallely we will submit the above mentioned documents including Bank Draft to the pointed address within 60 days from date of email received?

Is there any envelop measurement like before?

And wait for PP request ? :D

Dear Brother,

First of all, the medical results will be submitted to the CIC by the concerned doctors here in Bangladesh electronically by their own. You just need to do the medical tests here, thats it. No need to collect your medical results by you, so no question of sending medical reports by you. Few days later you can check eCAS for medical reports update. And yes, you have to submit requested papers parallelly within specified time.

Secondly, there is no instruction regarding envelope measurement. So you can use the regular one.

Finally, as the passports not requested yet, so you have to wait for the request to send.

Kind regards
