Thanks to all for your quick response. How about on a Friday/Saturday at a convenient time for all? And please suggest a venue to meet each-other.

You need atleast CAD 1300 to 1400 a month to meet up all cost (house rent with hydro + food + transport +internet & mobile) for 3 to 4 members family. You will get CAD 400 approx. for each of the babies. If you have two babies, house rent can be financed from this allowence. You need to earn the balance CAD 500-600 just to survive. Our target should be not to exhaust the money we will be carrying from Bangladesh rather keep it intact for the uncertain future.

Just after landing one should not rush for taking admission in any college or university. Try to grab a job from the very first week. Hourly pay would be CAD 9.5 to 10.5 for survival job and try working for 40 hours a week .

After 3 months research and settleing down, one may decide which field to study !

My friend, xxxx, after finishing Supply Chain Mgt. Diploma is now working as a material coordinator in an engineering company and earning CAD 2000/month after tax where as, my friend's husband is driving TAXI in New York City during nigh time and earning USD 4000- 5000 a month. Another friend of mine did not like the taxi cab occupation, and opted to work in a hotel as a front desk officer and he is happy with USD 1960 a month after tax without taking any US degree (He has MBA Degree from DU, with Accounting major).

So, situation and circumstances will lead you the way ! Land in Canada , be prepared for the worst and be optimistic for the best.....success will be on your way ~

My real life experience is they are hiring a lot of people now a days coz all the students has to go back to school. This is the best time to land. I have landed 12/12/12 and was frustrated at the beginning but i joined to "Staples" as a computer technician within 2 weeks of my arrival. so i wish you will find something out within a short while as well. best of luck to all.

Dear ALL:
I seen similar kind of post in this forum that lot of applicant fear about the new country and new places. I just want to remind you all that we are going there as a skill worker which means we have a minimum degree and qualification. Working in a Multinational company I had mashAllah some experience in dealing with foreign workers and countries. What I can bet blindly is that we Bengalis are by far better worker then any other countries in terms of dedication, hard work , loyalty. No matter where we go, we will inshAllah shine and make proud our motherland. Remember one thing, person who is not successful in home country can never be successful in any country. You need to have this feeling inside you that you are the best and you have a CAN DO attitude inside you. Rest there is almighty Allah who will always guide you towards correct path. Dont sit or think like coward, be brave and prepare yourself to face any challenges. The way we are united in this forum, if we can practice the same unity in CANADA, nobody will fall behind inshAllah.

I talked to one money changer. They do not endorse CAD even though they sell CAD. Its not a question of 100/200 Tk. They are authorised to endorse USD only.
