one of my friend February 2011 applicant emailed sgvo 2 months back,he emailed them again a week back,as he is in que of initial review and got the reply----!!!

Please be advised that the status of your application has not changed since our last reply to you. Our office cannot provide you with an update of your case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured we will contact you when your file has reached the next processing stage. Please also note that repeated status inquiries can contribute to delays in the processing of a file as the officer has to take time away from processing in order to respond to the request.

In order to serve all clients better, we will be unable to answer further correspondence at this time.

That's why we advice please allow some processing time, observe others update (as we have so many applicants from different timing MI 1, MI 2, MI3 so on) if any case it exceeds the normal timeframe then send a CSI. But is STRONGLY discouraged to send unnecessary CSI unless otherwise stated above.

Please please please it's an important initiative for all of us do not jeopardize it in the middle. A CSI will not move your file, it has its designated timing.

You need atleast CAD 1300 to 1400 a month to meet up all cost (house rent with hydro + food + transport +internet & mobile) for 3 to 4 members family. You will get CAD 400 approx. for each of the babies. If you have two babies, house rent can be financed from this allowence. You need to earn the balance CAD 500-600 just to survive. Our target should be not to exhaust the money we will be carrying from Bangladesh rather keep it intact for the uncertain future.

Just after landing one should not rush for taking admission in any college or university. Try to grab a job from the very first week. Hourly pay would be CAD 9.5 to 10.5 for survival job and try working for 40 hours a week .

After 3 months research and settleing down, one may decide which field to study !

My friend, xxxx, after finishing Supply Chain Mgt. Diploma is now working as a material coordinator in an engineering company and earning CAD 2000/month after tax where as, my friend's husband is driving TAXI in New York City during nigh time and earning USD 4000- 5000 a month. Another friend of mine did not like the taxi cab occupation, and opted to work in a hotel as a front desk officer and he is happy with USD 1960 a month after tax without taking any US degree (He has MBA Degree from DU, with Accounting major).

So, situation and circumstances will lead you the way ! Land in Canada , be prepared for the worst and be optimistic for the best.....success will be on your way ~

Found another benefit "GST/HST Credit" which is quarterly $ 198.5 for 2 children under 19 yrs of age. So per month it is $ 66. Therefore, total child benefit per month for 2 children for Ontario 759+66 = $ 825 Max. If it is the calculation, then Rana22april bhai, you are right.

02. Sometimes we do mistakes for social numbers this and that, these might deffer to get the benefits significantly (this happened to my sister)
03. For house rental, most of the time they ask 1st month and last months deposit (if 900 CAD/ Month then 1800 CAD upfront at the beginning)
04. Need furniture (not appliances) for a new accommodation, usually basic (then collect from garage sale, yard sale and mostly from gifts)
05. Ar kon kon issue ekhon money porsey na, money porley post korbo.............................

but onnora please keep on updating these sort of issues for us to share, rather poking Stupid Singapore Immigration Department (SSID), I think these are better use of our stupid waiting time.........................
