Recently I met two immigrants who went to Canada during November last year. One came back after few months but preparing to go again, he is a silent member of this forum so requesting him to share his experiences.
Another Mr. Ahmed working in the higher position of a multinational co. also stayed 4 months, gave up Canada dream and rejoined to old position. Now he feels sorry but still his wife is adamant not to go again. As per Ahmed bhai, he took wrong decision to move during winter, due to heavy cold they had to stay home so not possible to search job, wife and children felt bored. Secondly he took house in an area which is dominated by mainly Chinese so his wife and children could not have friends. They lived far from deshi people, did not have car so could not meet deshi people. His house was also small to reduce cost for that felt shy to invite others. From my personal experiences I like to add his first mistake was not sending his wife to attend language classes. This year I met a new immigrant family in Toronto, they lady goes to learn English and found many friends there from different countries, spends nice time with them, the gentleman goes to college also having his own friends and their only son already got job offer to join from September. 3 or 4 deshi families are there, when I went to meet them a deshi lady came who lives just after one house. Today I sent them mail to know how are they doing. Hope I shall get good news from them. The house they are living is not very big, simply furnished but nice to live.
Who are planning to move now, please get enough information and decide by own not because CIIP or others recommended, please do not consider my recommendation - decide yourselves. But sure go together as many as possible, must stay closely. After going within week let your lady be involved with something to keep them busy. Living alone they will be like mad, crazy to come back home. Try to take children for outing, many amusements you will find there. My children like Ontario Palace (including their father
) but during winter you will not find that open and as I heard it will not operate any more instead commercial buildings will be raised there - oh sorry to hear.
Be care full to pay your credit amount on time so you will have a healthy credit history enabling you to buy house or car quickly.
Do not spend your savings, from the 2nd day go out to find jobs. Do not depend on any one. You have to keep your shyness locked in a safe place so if needed you can use again(just kidding).
