From the date of Medical, one year. I am sharing this from London VO - one of my friends recently got this through e-mail. But I believe this specification should be identical for ALL VO.

Passport Specifications

If any of the passports submitted do not meet the following specifications, all passports will be returned to you without visas. This delay will shorten the amount of time that you will have to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident.

1. All names and dates of birth must be printed in each passport in English or French.

2. The given name (first name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Given Name line of the biodata page of each passport. The surname (last name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Surname line of the biodata page of each passport. They should match your Updated Information Chart.

3. Your spouse must have their own passport. Your accompanying children should also each have their own passports.

4. Each passport must have at least two empty pages.

5. For your visas to have maximum validity, all passports should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of your medical examinations.

6. All passports must be intact and not worn, torn or otherwise damaged; the laminate on the biodata page must be securely attached. Each page must be securely affixed to the passport; there cannot be any loose pages. Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may be inserted. Diplomatic, official, special or other similar types of passports are NOT acceptable.

Me and my spouse's PP are hand written and have validity more than one year, Do i need to change them??? my son's one is MRP... pls suggest me

Dear rojhabib,

It is not required to have MRP to get Canadian visa. You only need to have 1 yr validity. As some countries started to accept MRP only so it is wise to get the MRP but it is up to you.

It is Bangladesh Bank rule that any Bangladeshi can take usd5000(usd2000 cash and 3000 draft) for travel purpose except SAARK countries with valid visa and return air ticket. The people who got residence permit are not entitle to take usd5000 with them. They are entitle to take usd2500(half of travel quota) per passport. So the single person can take only usd2500 with him. very rude rule for immigrants.

I contacted my RO in SCB, Sylhet. He informed me that I can take usd 5000 in total, whatever the forms are(draft or tc). Those landing with family can also endorse their fam. members' pp . Problem is, I'm single. To the best of my knowledge, Dr. Hasib also was single. I sent him a pm and waiting for his feedback. Will let u know and please let me know if any way is there. Thanks

today i have received my PPR by cic sgvo.... ;D.....arrived after 76days of medical.....
as cic Malaysia is closed,we were advised to drop for visa in sgvo....

hope all my friends will receive PPR soon....

it's the bitter truth.

Amito VFS e 14/8/2012 te submit korechilam and 17/8/2012 te cic singapore pouchai and still shown under processing in online tracking e . Ami VFS e jogajog korechi 2 times tara boleche usually immigrant PP return hoi 1 to 1 and half month er modhe , to be honest ami jodi jantam ai hal obostha tahole kokhonoi VFS e submit kortamna in person singapore e i jetam , amar pore ppr peye already visa o nie ashche singapore theke to bujhen kemon lage , jekhane 3 working days e sgvo visa issue korche shekhane VFS er madhome kano ai lete ami thik bujhte parchina ,Jehetu amra submit korechi so amader wait kora chara n ar karo kono news ache kina vfs theke ta jana chara kono way dekhchina , VFS bole mail peley kebol jogajog korte tara call korbe na , Ar amar E case status still in process with date hoye ache and medical result recv o otheni so ota nie matha ghamachi na , SO amio dowa kori shobar jonne and apnarao dowa koren jano shob kichu bhaloy bhaloy timely hoi inshallah.If any one have any update about VFS processing and if there any correction then please lemme know .

If I endose for singapur usd 5000 and visit there, after return I endose for canada immigration, can i endose usd 2500 or not. is it same for my spouse? i mean 7500$ for each person is possible? or the quota is for 1 year 5000$. one year mean july-june or 1st endose to next ..what is the rule?
Seniors plz suggest.

5000 usd. for each pp in total for one fiscal year, such was I informed frm SCB. Even with pr visa.

Don't worry bro..We will get our PPR soon. My recent time line of Med exam,date of sending RPRF, PC and date of received docs is same as you. Still no PPR...No change in ecas status.

Are you going to attend in CIIP Program on 18th Sep?

Thank you very much for giving me some hope. I am not sure that whether I might be able to attend this session. I submitted the registration form but there was no response from them. However I am also bust on that day. That's why I have not decided what to do. Another option is to have some idea from those who are attending.
