Hi, i recently received this email from AINP immigration office

Thank you for your email.

All Alberta Express Entry draws completed in 2020 to date are listed on the website and that the information will be updated when draws are completed. Please visit the AINP website for current processing and inventory information; https://www.alberta.ca/ainp-processing-inventory.aspx?utm_source=redirector#toc-3

A person cannot apply to the Alberta Express Entry Stream and expressions of interest are not being considered as part of the selection process. To access Express Entry, you must first complete a profile which demonstrates how you meet the criteria of one of the economic federal immigration programs (Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, or Federal Skilled Trades Program). Each of these programs has its own minimum requirements including skilled work experience, language ability, and education. For more information on eligibility for Express Entry programs, please visit: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility.html.

To be eligible for the Alberta Express Entry, the AINP must first select you from the EE pool. If you are selected by the AINP, you will receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) letter in your federal IRCC account and the letter will direct them to where to find information on the next steps of the application process. If you are subsequently nominated under the Alberta EE Stream, you will have to accept the AINP nomination in your EE profile within 30 days. Once you have accepted the nomination, you will receive an additional 600 points in accordance with IRCC regulations and will most likely get an invitation to apply on the following draw.

There is no guarantee that if you meet the selection requirements you will receive a Notification of Interest letter or be asked to submit an expression of interest. Notification of Interest letters and requests to submit an expression of interest are affected by the volume of potential candidates meeting these requirements, the type (occupation/sector) of submissions in AINP processing queues and the number of available nominations (points are not the only consideration). Please ensure you indicate any ties to Alberta and your interest in the province in your EE profile.

The current focus of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is on the selection of individuals currently living and working in Alberta. Economic conditions play a vital role in our selection as we only consider individuals in occupations that are currently in demand in Alberta.

Hope this helps
