Alberta express entry question

Hi all,
I have a question regarding Alberta express entry. If I get an invitation from Alberta on my express entry profile, and submit an application, do I need to be currently working? I am currently a graduate PhD student studying in Canada and have a study permit. Will that affect my approval?

Are you living and working in Alberta? Because processing has focused on those in the province and specific NOCs. Check the AINP page.

I’m moving there next month. I have a close sibling there and have recebtly obtained a degree from another province. NOC IS 4012 TA AND RA universities. I don’t have a job offer and may not apply for jobs.
