Airport Border - Study Permit- Entering with Temporary Address

Hi Everyone,
Excuse me for this primitive question. I just wanted to double check, at entering Canada, they usually ask for permanent address in Canada as I know.

It is first entry to get Study Permit from an officer border.
Can I provide temporary address like Hotel/motel?
