Hello everyone, I am posting this on behalf on my younger brother.

My brother is currently on a post graduation work permit which is valid until 2026. He resides in Alberta with me, however, he is working remotely for a multinational company that has their office in Toronto, Ontario. His job category falls under NOC 11101, Teer 1.

Question:

1. Would he qualify for AINP as he resides here, has a sibling here? even though he works for a company located in Toronto?

2. Is applying for immigration under Canadian Experience Class by gaining 1 year of work experience a more viable option?

3. Any other suggestions/option for his particular scenario?

If he is eligible for EE then yes. He doesn’t have a job offer or counting job as being located in Alberta.

Thank you for your response. By EE do you mean Express Entry? My apologies, I did not fully understand the second part of you response. Could you kindly elaborate a little.

Yes, if you are eligible for Express Entry then eligible for AINP. Your job doesn’t give you any extra consideration for Alberta because company is in Toronto. However, you have a family member living there.
