Thanks ofonzo, yes usma it's true that we have to come back for pr stamping which takes @ a month. Don't b in hurry. Just observe the market. Do your PE opreparations so after landing u can go for exams.

One can see the option if going in work visa, if processing time is more than 8 months. That is my mathematics so recruiter can give 1 month holiday else no company will give u leave unless u resign in just 6 months. Also Work vies processing is @ 3 months atleast ...

Thanks Ofonzo, I received AOR as per your prediction on 07.11.12.
Thanks for sharing OB regarding WP. I think if i expect PR visa in 6 to 8 months, it would not be wise to go for WP.
Hello Gajju , can we get PE before landing, if not then what prep we should do as you suggested to Usama.

Vauge- u can check the website of APEGA. I don't have exact idea but yes u can start procedures of send ur certificates for verification etc

Ofonzo- are we suppose to send original PCC to CIC. I hope they will not ask any PCC during landing. Let me know. I am about to send them in couple of days. My File is in transit to my VO.good that its moving. Looking for MR in 4 weeks... Hope so

@Vauge,

I think CIO is following a defined pattern. But your AOR was 53 days (the fastest so far). You can't get registered as a P.Eng till you are a landed PR. For now you can seek registration as a Foreign Licensee and transit to a P.Eng one you get PR. Difference between P.Eng and Foreign Licensee is that you don't have the requisite one year Canadian Experience.

@ Jaggu,

Yes, you need to send the original PCC documents to CIO. And it is possible they request for it again if processing PR takes more than 12 months. PCCs are valid for no more than 12months.

All:

I agree with Jaggu on the TWP. Depending on which VO you are applying to, it is not worth the bother. Singapore VO takes 24 months to process TWP. It might be better to wait for the PR. Let's watch as things unfold.

@Jaggu,

How do you know your file is in transit to VO?

Hi Jaggu, thanks for response. Documents verification? can you elaborate please?

Ofonzo, agreed with you, its look some speedy even that i sent a bank draft and not a Credit Card.
Also is it easy to get foreign licensee?

Vauge,

The ease of becoming a foreign licensee depends on where you went to school (Easier for European graduates) and your years of experience.
Visit the international graduate website using this link;

Guys, today I have received AOR from my VO office and stated that due to high volume if files, they may not b able to process for 6 months so I m nog required to do n e follow ups till than. Is this common statement ? I thought our case is in fast track mode... But again same ans as it was in 2006 year.

Jaggu the response u received from ur visa office is very disappointing. It seems as if we have to wait again and in q for indefinite period. As dehli visa office is faster in processing then others. I think that's why they have allowed work permit. Let see what response ofonzo receive from his vo.

Jaggu,

The bright side is that you have jumped one more hurdle. I must say that being granted the opportunity to avoid the debacle of scrapping my application is something I am grateful to GOD for. Its better on this side my friends.

Accra is pretty slow in processing PR applications, but I am hoping that the PNP stream which isn't too popular in my part of the world will somehow work in my favour. I just looked up the number of PNP applicants in NDVO. Quite a number in the queue. If you are interested. Use the link. Search using Immigration applications abroad.

@Jaggu : From India there are lot of applications..just to keep you encouraging we guys from Ontario FSW are still to send out our docs so atleast you are ahead of the race..
With Canadian Immigration Waiting is the name of the game and patience is the Key to the game.

RP_ TP you r very right. Patience is the key to this game. I read a post in ont fsw thread that ont will contact fsw nominees regarding work permit. Any info on AINP side.

Yes ofonzo , u r right that atleast one hurdle is clear so I m happy. N e way got a know that that our VO will issue MR in 3-6 weeks, from another forum... So even more relieved... Hope to see that email.

So now countdown starts for usma ... To get AOR. May 1 week more ...

Did you guys send out Use of Representative form in your application

rp_tp, No, I didn't fill te use of representative form since I filed the application myself.You only fil that form i you are using a lawyer or a certified immigration consultant.

All, I just got a response from Apegga on my foreign licensee application. I have been assigned 2 exams to get dsignation. The fundamentals of engineering exams and the practice exams thereafter. If you schooled in Europe or North America, you may not have to seat for the Fundamentals of Engineering.
