Thanks Usma.. you are right but in NDVO case, they are just sitting with your passport for 4-6 months... which is very risky for oversea working people... n e way... it may delay process by 2-3 months but atleast we are secure in foreign country...

i hope i am in final stage... let hope that they come back by this month end

jaggu, wish you good luck and +1 for you. 8)

friends.. situation looks bad and going to be more poor in alberta region, related to job market... so suggest to wait and take appropriate steps before you land and end up in frustation...

survey the job market for your respective discipline

Its really alarming? what is the basis of your analysis? i think we are all from same profession though our field of expertise may be different.

trust me... i cant say the company name but they have started laying off engineers... Reason is USA has cutt off their import on hydrocarbons and canada have not explored any other countries for their sell off... so now they will be heading towards most consume countries like china and india... where price will be issue... so its bit alarming over there at this moment...

i dont know uptill when it will be... but its just started...

@USMA, Thanks for keeping this thread alive. Welcome to Hero status. ( I am giving you +1) :P

@Jaggu, good heads up on the employment situation. We need to tread carefully. I know another company hiring. I think there is some LNG plant being sited in BC but this company will be working out of the Calgary office.

All: Stay hopeful, MRs + PPRs are going to be gliding through.
