Thats true,

Work Permit is a option suitable for the ones who have nothing much to loose taking into consideration jobs, family, children education etc.

The fact that PR is still some way down the line and with the flip flops that has happened to our cases in the past even I feel jumping the gun would not be a wise idea.

Its surely a risky proposition.

I would rather have everything in hand even before thinkin of leaving mid way just because we have the WP option.

Like ofonzo I would also certainly hold on to my horses and will not take the plunge.

Kelly

The article ofonzo has referrred to is a grim reminder.

I am really not interested in the TWP. Honestly, unless I get PR, I am not going to move my family. What happens if CIC reneges on the PR visa like they did to our 1st FSW application? We would then become stranded.I will wait out the PR visa. I am not interested in the WP!
I am fully agreed with you and all others with similar thoughts

Morroco family story is much regretting and sensational

Dear all,
May you say it earlier but below site may be beneficial for preparing to Canada:

Usma, this is a good link. Thanks a lot for sharing

CHC london processing times on their site: Provincial Nominee, Quebec, Skilled Workers with Arranged Employment: 6 months
While CIC has a diffrent figures:Europe Visa Office Processing Times IN MONTHS (based on a complete application package)
London – United Kingdom 23

there is a big difference between two statement. Usma what do u say? which one is more authentic? I wish May the first one be the right one.

similarly on CHC london site they have also given below statement:
For all permanent resident applications (except Family Class, Provincial Nominees, Arranged Employment and Quebec applications), a letter of Acknowledgement of Receipt is sent to the applicant within 24 weeks from the date this office receives the completed application. The Acknowledgement provides details of processing times. Please read it carefully.

what does it mean? as per my understanding they will not issue AOR for PNP? what do u say?

Actually i have read all this information and is somewhat cofusing and cntradicting. I am not clear about all these. I suggest we should focus on prevailing practice and time lines on different forums. I think after AOR you should be prepared for one year more for Visa. Also initial AOR, you will receive in 50 to 60 days.

You may say the figure on CIC website is more authentic but dont forget that this is for 80% applications. Among these 80% some about 50% may be in one year and remaining in 23 mon ths etc.

Ofonzo, is the guy from your VO who AOR after you and now got MR before you also an FSW backlog candidate? If yes, then things are really moving.

Let me know my great friend.

Cheers
