When you receive an email from alberta with file number ..can someone please tell me, what is the subject and sender name appears in you inbox.

I just want to make sure it does not go to my junk mail

Here is the info:

The subject line will be; "AINP employee file no: XXXX XX XXX"
Also, In regular course you recieve email from address like; Immigration.info@gov.ab.ca
BUT while you get the file number that email address starts from word: "pnp"
the abovementioned email is for general enquiries and regular purposes but that pnp.gov email address is from Office of the Program Officer who actually process your case and make a decision. There is no specific sender name is mentioned even at the bottom of email, All it says "Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program"

Which day of the week ( M, T ,W etc.) are we most likely to receive the file no. Do they send file nos. on weekends also

Not sure about Saturday but definitely Sunday.

Got this in email today. This is for an inquiry which I sent more than 1 month back

"Once your application is received, the AINP office will send you a confirmation email with a file reference number, whereby they will process your AINP application. You can expect this to occur within 2-3 months. It will take a further 3-4 months for the AINP office to issue a positive nomination certificate."

My application was received under old process on Jan 22 at AINP office. This means a file number by March-April 22, and if lucky enough, a nomination by June-July 22.

Guys ,

Do we have to open the envelop we receive from FBI ( result of finger printing application ) or just submit to CIC as it is

Yes better to open it otherwise you wont know if they returned your finger prints for lack of clarity of the finger prints.

No one has got the nomination recently. I do not doubt that AINP is freezed.
Maybe, they are waiting for some directions like what the CIC was doing to FSW this time in 2008.
I hope finally we all can pull through.

Folks,

Any update from anyone ? It is close to 2 months now and haven't got any communication from AINP. I'm sure they're busy with the large # of applicants in new process, however, I hope we'll be taken care of soon.

NO NEWS!!
No NEWS from AINP since last 1 month. What's goin on ????

Waiting for someone to break the silence.

> 50 Days already have passed by for me.My packet reached there on 27th Jan,old process !!.

Long wait for file number huh !!

same here, my app reached on Jan 29, nothing yet

I guess I barely squeezed past in mid-Dec, where the process seems to have been stuck.

AINP application sent 12/04/2008
AINP received 12/15/2008
Nomination received 02/12/2009 dated 01/21/2009

Application number xxxx-0516

What is the last reported file number that was nominated?

If my AINP is not approved by the end of June, I am s****d. I have a unique situation. My home country issued rules that Dec 31, 2009 is an expiration date on all citizen's passports. Embassies in the US were supposed to start accepting applications for the new biometric passports 6 months ago. No news when and if that will happen.

So, I will have to plan to leave the US and sit 2 months in my home country waiting for the new passport(that's how long it will take), then comes the H1 stamping. I may as well kiss my job and status good buy, 'cause company will not let me keep the position if I leave for that long. God knows what AINP people and CIC people will think of extended leave like that.

I was hoping I will get AINP approved and ask Alberta to forward nomination to Vienna, instead of Buffalo. But then, getting all
US State PCs on time will be a nightmare if I go home and have to do it through the US Embassy...
:
Anyways, just venting!!!!!

I'm getting impatient.I have already called them a few times in the past.
Is there anywho has called them up recently to know what are they upto ?
Don't get surprised if they change immigration policies in the light of recent economic scence.Coz I have heard that Alberta has suffered job losses recently.
