After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the PR visa?

Even today also there is no update on my mail activation. I have my ovrseas travel plan on 11th. Seems I have to cancel my tickets. My approval happened on Nov 3rd.

PPR: Oct 17
Passport delivered : Oct 19
Approved: Nov 6
But no update with the tracker yet.

Please advice which place will be best to do my landing once i will receive my passport. Currently i am in Toronto.
Bridge near Niagara falls has some new rules and regulation of when they do landings.

Guys , I got PPR couple days back and today I see a message in my CIC account , that I need to send my passport to Visa Application Centre – New York. Has anyone done this before? Can you tell me the process and what all documents to submit?

Delivered on Oct 17
CIC update on Nov 1
tracker updated on Nov 7th
Passport delivered back on Nov 8th

CIC have specific Day in a week to dispatch the passports. so please be patient.
