After receiving my new work permit, my employer wants to release me

I need your opinion , a friend of mine who works a nanny here in Canada, she was renewed by her employer, and now she is waiting for new visa , but her employer wants to release her upon receiving her new visa.

So , I am wondering what’s her option in order for here to stay in Canada? Or what’s gonna happen to the new visa that she will receive since her employer will release her.
