WHAT HAPPENS AFTER

Before you leave, the doctor will determine if your history, physical examination, or your initial laboratory tests warrant more evaluation or treatment. You will be told of any abnormalities noted and how to get them fixed. If there are none detected, you may leave and your file will wait for any other laboratory tests to come in. If all the tests are normal, they will be added to your chart and the entire file, with our x-ray plate, will be forwarded to the embassy with our assessment. This will take around 2-3 weeks.
If any results come back abnormal after you leave, we will call you to give further instructions.

Within two (2) weeks time from your medical examination, we will inform you by PHONECALL or TEXT if there are any further tests to be done. If you DO NOT receive any call or text from us, that means your medical results were already AUTOMATICALLY forwarded to the embassy for final evaluation by the Embassy's MEDICAL OFFICER.

Question: How many days will it take for the embassy to get my file?

Depending on your visa, and the number of tests it requires, most NORMAL files take 2-3 weeks at most (many are sent within the week). After you leave, tests are processed, collated and evaluated within 3-5 days. Thereafter they are checked, photocopied, and encoded, and then they are sent to the embassy with your x-ray plates in a secure manner.
Delays occur due to the need to repeat some slow-to-release tests, the need for some old medical records, the need to be checked by a specialist, the need to undergo treatment for a temporary condition, the volume of applicants for the day, additional requests by the embassy doctor, and many other unique reasons.

Question: Can we call to follow-up our evaluation’s status?

We do not allow follow-up by phone and most calls regarding status of application will not be entertained as it holds up the phone and distracts the involved personnel while your file is being retrieved, reviewed, and re-filed. This will soon change as we begin the computerization of your results and files on February 2007. We hope to automatically inform by text all applicants whose charts have been sent to the embassy on the day the files are transmitted. We also plan to eventually be able to receive your SMS queries on our PC and respond back by PC to SMS.
