Hi everyone,
I sent my medical results on 15 November. I was planning to visit my home country in 1st week of January, so I was just wondering if there is any possible action we can take to speed up the PR pricess after we get PPR request ?

Can we take our passport in-person to Detroit and get it stamped and than do the landing process on same day ?

Any suggestion will be appreciated !!
Thank you

You need to check with the visa office processing your application, as most no longer allow PR walk-ins. This information is on the visa office website in my experience (I've looked it up for Detroit as well, but I don't recall if they allow walk-in PR visa issuance or not.)

The approach I took was to send a copy of my upcoming itinerary along with my passport and sent it (in my case LA). They sent my passport and COPR back 11 days after receiving it, nearly five days prior to my travel. I did have a back-up plan, but I did not need to use it.

So just TELL them you have upcoming travel and ask them to work with you to get the passport back as quickly as possible.

Good luck!
