Dear mft,

If you think they started working seriously, then why do you think it is going to take you more than another year to get the visa? You can see how few the applications are. Please let us know how you are doing the calculations. Thanks dear.
let us be realistic ,I do not think that I will receive medical before end of 2014 or begin of 2015. if they keep on that base and no surprises or another sleep during that time because I get to use to their laziness . plus if you have kids like my case then summer will be the best time for moving so they can start in the begin of the study year. I can not lie to my self and to other by expecting visa this year unless a miracle is going to happen which make Amman officers send medical to the rest of the applicants one time ?? still there is a good chance for 2011 applicant to reach Canada by the end of this year
good luck to every body

Hi
if they process only one file every day ,so from april to august all applicants 2011 and 2012 will receive the medical request, and all will receive the golden email at the end of this year,it will happen if they start sending medical to 2011 and 2012 regardless if they finish security check for q4 2010 or not,coz security check is an another subject and another agents do this, not VO

Why do some application processing times change and others do not?

This is normal because the volume of applications may vary from one month to the next. Rest assured that files are still being processed.

In many cases, a file is waiting in a queue for initial review. Applications are processed in the order in which they arrive. Some take longer to process than others. There is no maximum time frame for reviewing an application.

it means that it depends on volume of applications, that's why i believe that the processing times will drop when they finish files q4 2010 and inshala it will be soon coz ,they reach NOV 2010,dont care about security check coz it is another subject,VO do nothing with this, other agents do this

Guys,
I'm surprised that the new processing times are not out yet !! it's about time ... Let's try to guess before they go out ... My guess is that they will increase by two months to become 44 or 45 ...Nic.

Congratulations Rami !!! GREAT NEWS ! it looks like all 2010 people will be getting their medicals during March ... i know for a fact that they can process the medical test results locally but I do not know how long it takes them to process such volume of applications. Do you know that they only need to look at the one pager and see that "A" is ticked, and that's it ! then they will stamp the VISA ...

if there's a real intention to reduce backlogs then it should not take them more than a couple of weeks to process all 2010 applications but then these guys are SLOW so ... it will probably take them at least four months to finalize the process for all of us and then proceed with 2011 applications ... so perhaps they will complete 2011 during this year as well ... GOOD LUCK GUYS ! Nic.

I know a friend who got the visa as a QSW but lived in Ontario. He told me that it is not a problem at all. But I also read once that Quebec has the right to take legal action against you and maybe force you to live in it. I am not sure anyways as this issue is still not clear. Maybe if you can prove that you lived for a short while in Quebec trying to find a job but you did not then you moved because of of this, then you will have a good reason to explain why you did not live there when you want to apply for the citizenship. Don't forget that we signed a paper to undertake that you will live in Quebec. If anyone can give us more information it would be appreciated. If we can get a specific answer from an expert It would be great.
The good thing about Quebec is that it is maybe less expensive than other provinces. Your children will learn English and French and will be fluent in both languages. But for us I think French is a bit of a problem as they are getting stricter with the use of the English language. Taxes in Quebec are higher as well.
We also need to know if you live in Quebec but you go to work outside Quebec everyday, will that also affect the citizenship application?

hi kita
finally you start write positive and feel optimistic , I wish they keep on that pace.
regarding your question my opinion after very long studying is to land and finish your papers and pr in Québec . stay there for at least six month try to find job there while you study French (hardly and honest ) knowing French in Canada generally is a plus and advantage even in other provinces. if after 6 month you could not find job in Québec province not only Montréal . then you can move safely to another province
