Thanks ! I was missing my home country .

If you are missing your home country, then you were not ready for immigration. You better stay at home, if you have a good job.

I have lived 11 years outside of my home country. i miss it , but i know what i am looking for. With my Pr card i will be visiting home once every 2 years.

Well hope the problems will come as a result of staying out for too long.

If you have your PR status why should there be any problems? Your main concern will be that you spend ENOUGH time in Canada from now forward in order to maintain your PR, if that is what you choose in the end. Sometimes you have to look beyond the present day to where you would like to see your children and grandchildren thrive. Good luck with settling somewhere that makes you happy and content.

Become Canadian citizen: you don't have to worry residency obligation and you can return to your original country for good. ;D

What are the questions asked at the airport when one returns after a long gap?

I do not think it'll be an issue

do let us know if you are allowed to admit into Canada.
I have seen people suffered terribly in cases like your's

My situation is the same...I along with my spouse went there for the first time to get my PR card and SIN in june 2011 and have plans to go back there after 2 and a half years.....I heard that they ask many questions on airport if you go back after such a long period.

some distance acquaintance of mine went after living 3 years abroad
he had no issues

They need logical reasons for the staying. nothing more.

How do they calculate the residency then

If someone lands in Jan 2012 and goes back his country for 2 years in Jan 2013. ( absence 2013 and 2014)
comes back to Canada in 2015 and stays in Canada in 2015 and 2016.
So he stayed in Canada: 2012,2015,2016. it means stayed in Canada for 3 years in 5 years.

Can he claim the citizenship? CIC says one needs to stay 3 years out of 4 to claim Passport.

What type of questions?
