Which afghan bros and sis (specifically)? i see here everyone is Afghan.
Yup I know in this forum all are Afghans but I meant recent applicants.
Because I hav seen 2015 applicants forum, they started getting updates.
I'm also 2015 applicant and kindly someone explain the criteria of straight forward cases?and wether mine is straight forward or not?
Hope we all hear some positive news sooner. This wait really made me tired :(

Salam brothers and sisters!

Does anyone know how long it takes to get respond form case processing center at CIC, after sending the spouse sponsorship application.

Thanks .
According to CIC website, spouse sponsorship applications received September 29 2015 is being processed, processing time is 63 days.

Once its transferred to New Delhi it is a 17 month long wait.

Good luck

Zilch, nada, zero correspondence since October 2014, they told my MP to wait until 17 months which is March 2016.
its typical - mine is on 22nd month emailed them 3 times they did not reply, because they have no answer what the delay is! all docs are ok , and i am assuming its backlog

Afghan apps are always complicated for CIC because of the limited knowledge they have about us plus its not processing in our own country, it would have been easier if we have a process center, that way they have knowledge and if anything needed it can be faster. plus our own fault too that everything we have is paper based and not electronically available.

Hey guys I had another question...

Since Afghanistan is issuing electronic passports...do you advise that my husband changes his passport to the electronic one?

His current passport does not expire until Nov.2016 but what if they tell him to drop his passport at the New Delhi or Pakistan embassy and they reject stamping their own country visa on it.

Which means there won't be an issue when travelling to either Islamabad or New Delhi(depends where they ask him to come) to receive inland stamp?

looks like its - but before they update the online thingy they will send you an email with what they want and then it will be updated. so i would rather check my email than online status.
