I am kindly inquiring from anyone here who has an idea about this. I applied for TRV through an agent and after 3 months I received an email from ircc that they need something from me to continue processing your application I called the agent and she told me that ircc requested for an affidavit that will prove I will return after my visit to Canada... please has anyone ever heard of this . thanks

This makes no sense. Affidavits are useless and I've never heard of IRCC requesting an affidavit. And affidavit doesn't prove you will return to your home country.

Exactly what does the email from IRCC say? Please copy and paste it here removing personal information such as your name.

So where does it say affidavit required? Were you attending a conference that required a letter of support/attendance/invitation?

I'm not asking about that email. I'm asking about the request from IRCC. What is the exact wording of the request from IRCC?

am sorry I don't have the exact wording of the request from ircc...I only got the email when I asked the agent to check she told me ircc requested me for an affidavit to prove I will be returning after my visit to Canada

So where does it say affidavit required? Were you attending a conference that required a letter of support/attendance/invitation?

I applied to attend a conference which was in September and the company I work for was sponsoring my travel

It's never the best idea to involve an agent.. many are crooks and have no idea

a mistake I regret and can't change now...I received updates from ircc that they received the document the agent uploaded and also received an email that my application status has changes
