Hello,

I've seen many postings that the immigration officer didn't approve the AEO because you show lack of experience or knowledge in English.
So I'm wondering because my AEO is a Korean Cook, and it's required language on the AEO is Korean.
So I hope I'm okay that they won't go like "You can't speak English well enough to have that job"(which was most of the reason for not accepting AEO and I have NO ENGLISH skills).

Now, I've been working at a company like in administrative dep. and I do qualify in the skill A,B, and 0 section.
but I really don't have ANY WORK EXPERIENCE as a cook, just a Korean Cook license issued by the Korean government for passing.
So is this enough that the immigration officer don't go like "You have no work experience to have that job".

Thank you in advance!

Re: Refuse AEO due to Language Proficiency and work experience?

Visa officers are vigilant because there are many frauds in AEO. In my country and other countries too, many people just pay 20K or 30K to get an AEO and chef is one of the most popular jobs to have a fake AEO.

Re: Refuse AEO due to Language Proficiency and work experience?

how do they know about your language ability? i mean did u gave ILETS result to hrdc ?

when i got my AEO approved I didn't gave them any document except a copy of my passport .. and nothing else

No, I was actually talking about when you actually apply for skilled worker immigration.
As the supporting document you'll have to file a IELTS test and I saw a story saying that
the applicant didn't have enough English proficiency to carry out the job.

If you look at the NOC # which corresponds with NOC# on your AOE, you will see what kind of experience you need to be approved by visa officer. Without any experience your have no chances.

Re: Refuse AEO due to Language Proficiency and work experience?

well u need to have good bands in ILETS.. in any case not specific to AEO ..

wait so are you telling me, even if I do pass the 67 mark but have like all basic or none proficiency they can refuse my application?
where does it say that? I though all you had to get is 67 mark and pass you go.

Thank you,
immigration is hell of a process...^^

It is not simply a matter of arithmetic - 67=OK.
Some people misunderstand that.
The main purpose to let someone immigrate to Canada who can establish economically him/herself in Canada.
Therefore, if you get 67 with AEO, even with Korean cook license and Korean being the main "thing" on that AEO they will farther.
OK, you are a Korean cook. OK - they need you to speak Korean.
But, you have NO experience - hm-m-m-m... :o Why wouldn't they hire someone who actually has experience? ???
But, you speak little English - hm-m-m-m... :o So, what will he do outside his kitchen? Use an interpreter? ???

second that .. ILETS is for the language assesment not for points
