Advise regarding UNI selection and VI$a process...

Hi bros/sis,

I am new in this forum. I have applied for MSc in two universities in Canada.

1) UBC, Okanagan
2) UVictoria

I got the admission in UBC with no funding and got the admission in UVic with half funding and the professor promised me he will try to get me a TA and Co-op for a term.

In UBC the course is MSc in Communication and in UVic it is MSc in Ocean power engineering and sound acoustics. I am interested in both the subjects however, i seek your help to select which course and uni will be better for future career and job prospect. Also the funding is an issue.


After that, I am planning to apply for the VISA right after the EID vacation in Bangladesh. Literally, i know nothing about this visa process and please any senior bro/sis guide me this process.

Any sort of comment will be appreciated.

You can go for either of the Universities..

If funding is imp for you, then you can opt UVic, no problem at all.

For Visa, arrange all the docs according the checklist as mentioned in http://www.vfs-canada.com.bd/checklists.aspx

Submit the correct Visa fee and wait for CHC instructions for Medicals.

i was in Australia for 1year starting from 2010 August to 2011July.

Do i need to take the police clearance certificate for that?

Yes ...for every place where you lived after 18 years for 6 months or more...
 
One more query.

In the new student form i find one question, IMM1294E

have you ever been refused any kind of visa, admission or been ordered to leave canada or any other country?

I have been refused for student visa in Australia in this year. Should i mention this or this question is only mentioning within canada for visa and been ordered to leave any other country?

please answer this...

What was the reason of that refusal? Australian Visa Refusal reason?
 
Initially i was given 5years student visa for my phd.

At that time i showed two job experiences. One full time and one part time. And for few months they actually over laps. The embassy considered the part time job as a fake one and hence they said for providing false documents my visa has been cancelled.

Now, while i will apply in Canada i will not show that i have worked in two places. I will show only the full time job where i have actively worked.

what do you think now, bro?

yes they provide me the letter where it mentioned that the work experience i have provided where fake and based on that they cancelled the visa.

i have decided to submit everything genuine and will disclose the visa refusal.
