I currently reside in Canada under a closed work permit, along with my family, which includes my wife, our six-year-old daughter, and our two-year-old son. We recently applied for an extension of our permits, and while my wife, son, and I have received approval, my daughter's application was not approved. We have since applied for a "Restoration of Status" for her, providing all necessary details such as her school enrollment and report card.
An important family function is scheduled for August 20, 2023, in India, and our family expects us to be present. In light of this, we intend to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) for everyone. I have a couple of queries in this regard:
1. Is it possible for us to apply for the TRV from India? Or TRV in Canada and Stamping in India(But this not applicable for my daughter as she don't have Valid status here)
2. Given that my daughter's restoration of status application is still pending, could this potentially affect our TRV application?
During a preliminary walkthrough of the TRV application process (for applicants outside Canada/India), I noted that the form requires details of each family member's details in Canada. This raised another concern:
3. Will it cause any problems if I list my daughter's current status as a visitor, or should I instead denote her as a holder of a study permit?
I appreciate your guidance in this matter.
