Advise on Extending Work Permit

Can anyone tell me how to apply for an extension to my work visa? I landed here in August 2013 on a 2 year visa, I got selected from the pool for EE on Feb 11th 2015, all my documents were returned to CIC April 2nd 2015, there are 3 of us in the same boat so to speak so any advice will be helpful, our visas expire end of July 2015 and we have not t heard from CIC as yet?

If you have submitted your EE PR application then you might be eligible for a bridging open work permit. Check this link - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t272029.0.html

I suggest you call CIC to verify or maybe a senior member can comment and give direction.

Can you extend your LMIA? If not, apply for a BOWP this month. You were invited in a draw in which everyone had an LMIA, and if you are losing that I have absolutely no idea how or even whether it will affect your PR application.

Hi Dobes, from what I understand, the CEC EE application has no effect on an LMIA, I came over on the original LMO. Im still finding it difficult to find out how or where to extend my work visa, I have followed a link from this forum but the CIC website 'assess' your eligibility and keeps telling me I can apply under EE, which is pointless as I need an extension not a BOWP, I have been told that the BOWP only lasts for 90 days from when you apply? That's no good for me

If you have applied for PR and received your AOR then you can go ahead and apply for a BOWP. There is no 90 days BOWP so that information is incorrect.
