Hi everyone,

I’m from India and completed my Bachelor’s degree one year ago. I’m now planning to continue my higher studies in Canada and have applied for a Postgraduate Certificate in an Environmental program at Fleming College, which is scheduled to begin in May.

I’ve already received my PAL, and my mother will be sponsoring my studies. I also have sufficient funds in my own bank account to cover the first year of tuition and living expenses. I’m planning to apply for my study permit soon.

Before I proceed, I wanted to ask for some honest feedback from those who have experience with the process.
  • Do you see any red flags in my profile?
  • Is there anything specific I should be careful about while applying?
  • Any suggestions to strengthen my application would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

1. Have a degree and taking a certificate at a college. Why do you need to spend all that money and come to Canada? Can you justify the costs with job career opportunities and higher pay when you return home. Should be going to a university for a Masters.
2. Strong SOP about why Fleming is the only school with this program and outline your career goals.
3. Show your own funds if over 22. You are not a dependant and should be showing your own funds.

Not sure why you would want to spend all that money on Fleming. It is not for PR that is for sure.
