Hi everyone, I need some advice for a friend. He is an international student from Libya studying for an MSc in Energy Materials and Telecommunications at INRS in Quebec. His study permit expires in November. Under the current PGWP rules, he needs to meet the language requirement (IELTS General/CELPIP General), but his English is not very strong and he is worried about getting the required score in time. He doesn't speak French either. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Are there any options to extend his study permit, apply for a PGWP, or any other legal way to remain in Canada while completing the process? Any genuine advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

He needs to extend study permit now if he is not graduating. When does he complete his program? He applies for PGWP meeting language requirements for university. Doesn't he need to pass a French exam too to graduate from a Quebec school.
