ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE OF NEW DEMAND LIST

Dear friends,

Let's discuss what will be the advantage and disadvantage after coming new demand list.

Most of the people qualify under NOC related to account (NOC:0111/1111), teaching(NOC:4131/4121) and computer(NOC:0213). But all the related NOC are removed from Demand list.

No one can be applying in this NOC's in future.

Those candidate who was on waiting list and think to apply in next 3 months, this news was very disappoint them, they will not eligible to apply.

This news is good for those who has already applied in this NOC's. They will get the fast process by Immigration officer to remove back logs.

Immigration consultant/ agent/ canadavisa.com will not get more clients in future. It will affect on business of Immigration agents who deal with clients for Canada Permanent visa.

All new 29 occupation list NOC's are odd, visa office will not get many case for these NOC and they will be free. It will be difficult to find at least 1000 case on particular NOC's in the year.

Some NOC are very odd, welders, plumbers and crane operators can be found, but they are not educated and can not reach to 67 points.

• 0811 Primary Production Managers (Except Agriculture)
• 1233 Insurance Adjusters and Claims Examiners
• 2121 Biologists and Related Scientists
• 2151 Architects
• 3131 Pharmacists
• 4151 Psychologists
• 4152 Social Workers
• 6241 Chefs
• 7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades
• 7216 Contractors and Supervisors, Mechanic Trades
• 7251 Plumbers
• 7265 Welders & Related Machine Operators
• 7312 Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics
• 7371 Crane Operators
• 7372 Drillers & Blasters — Surface Mining, Quarrying &
Construction
• 8222 Supervisors, Oil and Gas Drilling and Service

Number of Agent who work to help to get Arrange Employment will increate, and AEO will the single option to qualify under FSW. Agent charge very high for AEO and It will increase cases of cheating in Immigration business.

Student visa will be the best option for those who want to settle in Canada legally. More people will divert to Student visa.

Look on the new Demand list listed below,

Does Canada really need professionals or General workers?

When I see the new Demand list and I shocked and I can not believe.

I have seen the same occupation list in advertisement for company of Gulf countries like Dubai, Saudi, Riyal, Kuwait, and Oman. These countries need workers in category like welder, plumber and crane operators. They pay more for category workers and less for general workers.

I can not understand the connection between Canada and Gulf countries.

I do believe they need immigrants and like them. But they are not prepared to invite people over who cannot be economically active. In other words, they do not want those highly qualified people who will be unable to find a job because of lack of demand. From what I hear, they are in real need of those people like welders, etc. Remember they will get some 0213, 0111, etc through spouses of those new FSW immigrants.

Welders may not get 25 points for masters and phd, but they may get 20 points from trade apprenticeship. If they come from US, Australia and UK, they will probably get 16points for English. And for those who do not get 16points from English, they would either have to have some French or have a spouse with some education.

I think many 0213, 0111, 4131, 4121 made it through the last year and I can't imagine most of them getting jobs during this period in Canada.

Canada did do one smart move. That is to put greater emphasis on employment offers. If Canadian employers cannot find a person in Canada, they will be forced to look outside and hence, this will result in immigrants coming over with a job and therefore, economically active immediately.

Couple of positive aspects is that those applying from here on will hopefully have CIO processing faster, and may find a job easier in Canada. The greatest advantage might be for those who applied earlier because the new list might free up time for the IOs to process older applications.

i havent found a single statement that could make me say that visaexpert was unjustified.

From Asia, no such plumbers, welders, electricians and crane operators, and manhy more that belong to this new list have no Degrees over Bachelors let alone Masters and bla bla bla. This is simply a mockery to the immigration system and the aspirants of PR.

What does this have to do with Asia. I am sure there are plumbers, welders etc from Asia too. Asia does have plumbing system. This is not a mockery to immigration system but a well thought out process that is in line with their immigrant needs. As I read on what Qorax said, many have gone with masters and great degrees but on social security. Canada cannot afford to do that. On the other hand, you can imagine many asians used the old system to immigrate. In that case, the old system did not allow for enough diversity in immigration either.

jnathan is saying that it's hard to find plumbers, welders, etc. that have bachelors degrees, which is a basic prerequisite of the FSW class. He is in no way insulting the lack of plumbing in Asia.

However, vocational training, apprenticeship, licensing and experience is able to substitute for a bachelors degree.

You cannot qualify for social security or unemployment benefits unless you have worked between 420 to 700 hours in a year AND you have been involuntarily unemployed. So new immigrants that come over without jobs often have to rely on their own funds - they are not a burden on the system whatsoever, in fact they drive the economy with the money that they bring over from overseas. http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/ei/types/regular.shtml

It seems that the current list reflects the need for industrial workers in Canada - or blue collar workers as many people like to call them. While blue collar jobs are considered demeaning or "low-class" in many developing nations, a plumber here can make as much as a doctor, so do not mock the job list. It is the case with most developed nations - everyone has a degree and unwilling to do menial work, hence there is a shortage of people that want to do these jobs, which means less competition, which means that they are able to command higher salaries.

These changes only affect those applications received on or after June 26, 2010. So even if your application was received June 25, 2010, they will still fall under the old system.

ok I somewhat understand the reasons behind this revised list but one consequence (whether intended or unintended) is racial. This new list will pretty much wipe out applicants from Asia (esp. SE Asia) and give more immigrants from eastern Europe an opportunity.

Maybe the old list was racial and didn't get enough applicants from Easter Europe and maybe it favored SE Asia more. I don't think they mean it to be racist before or now but rather they want to fulfill their job demands (which is understandable).

I think they are trying to meet their economic demands based on jobs that are not being fulfilled in different provinces.

My comment on race was just an observation, I am fully aware that this list has been updated based on the needs of the Canadian economy. I was just pointing out the (unintended) effects of this on the race of the majority of applicants

I don't see how this list will wipe out Asians. There are doctors and dentists and pharmacists and nurses and architects and plumbers and welders and crane operators in every single country in the world.

Perhaps that you are stereotyping that Asians that want to come to Canada only do certain jobs and Eastern Europeans only do certain jobs.
