I am a doctor and hold an MBBS degree. I want to pursue my further education in Canada and I'm looking for good masters program in psychology or health publicpolicy and health.I have an IELTS score of 7.5 with a 7 and above in all categories although my cGPA is 2.88 which I assume will make things difficult. Can anyone please guide me to the relevant program in a university which is affordable. I want to pursue my future career in Canada so any guidance will be much appreciated. TIA.

Would really discourage a masters in public health. There aren’t enough jobs for all the graduates of these public health programs. The same thing for public policy but a bit less. Without a bachelors in psychology I am not sure if you would get accepted into a program. A masters in psychology doesn’t really lead to a specific career.

Is there a reason you want to move to Canada? You could probably practice medicine if you move to somewhere like the UK.

Thankyou so much for the insight. I had no idea it was this difficult. I have a lot of family in Canada and would like to move there and pursue a non medical field. Is there any alternate career pathway that doctors can take in order to move to Canada?

All depends what you want to do. Have you looked at your CRS score and whether you qualify for express entry?

I know some IMGs have become radiology or ultrasound techs but those are very competitive programs to get into. Some do further education and go into medical research. Many already were involved in some form of medical research. Some go into nursing. Some do MBAs. Some start from scratch and go into IT. All depends on their background and interests.
