Additional Sheets Conundrum

How to tell the visa officer that complete answer to XYZ question is on an additional sheet. Keeping the additional sheet in the application package is obvious. Im actually referring to whether we make an asterisk or write anything on the main form in the white space outside of set fields with a pen indicating to the visa officer to look for a sheet for this question.

For any question where I was answering on an additional sheet, I put something akin to "Answer on additional sheet" in the box. Then I put the additional sheets with that form in the application package. I didn't attempt to write any of the answer into the given box. So that way, the only thing in there is text directing them to the additional sheet.
