Thank you so much IWANTPR for your post. Much appreciate it. It will certainly help other people like me. For photos, it is four copies (for us it was 6). But do you or does anyone else know whether we should keep one copy blank as we did for our case?

Send them 6 copies with 1 blank as yours... just in case..

You are right. No information is mention at CIC website on this. The document lists are mentioned by 'Calainp' before in this post. However, I believe, it's better to get confirmation about extra documents as well as way of sending those docz (Soft/hard copies) from visa office you applied for PR.

I personally sent email to Ottawa office. Once I get reply from them, I will share it. Please do the same if anyone gets any information from visa office.

Cheers.

Did you get a reply?

Hello Everyone

I have applied PR under Economy category (Employer Driven) after getting my AINP in June 2012. Completed medical in Oct 2012. My current file status is as per below:
We received your application for PR on July 30 2012.
File started processing your application on January 23, 2013.
Medical results have been received.

Now, I added my wife's name on PR application along with other required documents (but no photos and Police Verification Certificate) yesterday Feb 21. I did not email them. I simply courier the documents to the CIC. I will send them Police Certificate once we get the same.

My questions are:
1) When should I expect our VISA to come (for both of us)? Any time frame whoever got their visa.
2) My wife is in India and I am in Canada. We are planning to apply for her open work permit as I am still on PGWP. Any suggestions?
3) spousal work visa Vs spousal visitor visa >> Which one do you think has better chances? (My wife's visitor visa application has been rejected twice)

Appreciate your response.

I think your wife has to undergo medicals same as you did. Spousal work visa will be better as it will let your wife work and support the family beside you.

I have similar question. I am going to get married next month. My wife is a landed immigrant/PR in Canada. Do you think there will be any problem in my case ?

I don't understand why you have not sent them photos. As far as I know it should be mandatory element to submit.

Regarding your queries:
1. It should take a bit more time to process. Roughly 3-4 months more than if you applied alone. It varies case to case. Apparently it seems you might get at the end of this year.
2. Yes. You can apply for work permit for her. I spoke to CIC and they confirmed that it does not have any influence from PR application.
3. To my knowledge, work permit is better option than visitor visa. I heard lot of failure cases even the person who is in Canada having very good job! x-( And those were rejected several times. I also heard many cases with opposite results. Personally I have decided for my wife to apply work permit.

Good luck!

Your case is simpler I believe. It should take less time to process as she is already a PR. You have to submit all information about her. But it's better to contact with your case processing office.

I informed my PNP first and they asked me to inform the Federal Government, which I did on Feb. 21, 2013...

Waiting Ottawa to respond!

Hello Guys, can someone who added their spouse explain to me what the completed application kit with all the requirements is exactly? I have not found anything about that in CIC website, also is it ok to send them all the documents, by email? even the photos?? Apreciate an answer ASAP, thanks

Police Clearence and photos should be sent by mail. They don't accept emailed Police certificates... I would say the same for photos if I be logical :)

I got a response yesterday.

IMM0008DEP http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM0008DEPENU.pdf
IMM5406 Additional Family Info http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.pdf
IMM5669 Schedule A http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669E.pdf
Copy of birth certificate
Copy of valid passport
Original Police certificates for every country in which she has lived in for six months or more since the age of 18.
And any fees.

They are missing pictures and declaration form good to read topics on here....

Thanks Tombraided.

First of all, have you heard anything from CIC?
I did not submit photos because my company lawyer is working on my and my wife's PR file. He suggested not to send anything else that is not asked. It will be my bad if CIC asks for the same at later stage as it will delay the process.

Now - is it recommended to do pre-medical for wife? I have not got any information from CIC regardingm wife's medical. We have not started PCC application as well. Any advise on this?

Did your wife get work permit?
What your PR status shows right now?
