inland, from China
1. BC pnp application received 2015.2.10
2. Nominated 2016.4.6
3. Application Received 2016.5.20
4. AOR 2016.8.16
5. Started Processing 2016.8.16
6. Married 2016.10
7. Reported marriage 2016.11
8. Medical exam 2017.4
9. Add spouse to application 2017.5
10. Required spouse's Canadian criminal record check 2018.1.30 , sent by email 2018.2.12
11. Ready for visa 2018.5.4

I think adding spouse to the application slow down my processing.
My friends, a couple did medical exam at the same day as us, but she ppr in 2017.10.
Another friend, we shared the same timeline before I got married, he ppr in Feb 2018, which was 3 months earlier then us too
Looks like our timeline is very similar.
I added my spouse to application 2017,8 now still waiting though.

Have they sent you any updates before Ready for visa? Or it just came out of nowhere?
Did you ever contact MP about this?

Thanks!

Thanks. So they will just call out of blue? Or will they make an appointment first? We haven't received the request for passports yet.

Also can you share your time lines
Here goes:
I first received my own approval in July 2017,
Added common-law partner the second day,
Approval declined, request additional information for my spouse and her medical.
Sent all additional information in Aug 2017,
Received notice in Sept 2017.
Been waiting afterwards.
Contacted MP since December 2017, told me that the background check is underway, been keeping me updated every other month.
Received email from MP in Aug 2018 regarding the update mentioned from IRCC.

Hey guys, I would like your advice on my file please.
Here is my timelines :
1. Application received 2016.12
2. AOR 2017.04
3. Common law partner added to the file 2018.01
4. Got my Medical request 2018.03
5. Partner got his OWP 2018 .05
Haven’t heard anything since. Called IRCC and said that they were processing the 2nd part of my background check.
On the other hand, we got an unexpected invitation for EE on August 8th.
Kindly seeking for suggestions from everyone what we should do in this case?
Are we able to keep both of them processing at the same time? If not, which one should we go for?
Thanks for any help guys

If u decide to go with ee . U have to withdraw pnp pr file.
I think u should go with EE . PNP PR CAN TAKE MORE TIME.
KEEP US UPDATED . WHATEVER U DO

Man your process is much faster than mine - considering my spouse's documents were submitted in August and received in September 2017. And my files were transferred to Etobicoke just two days ago. Seems I am gonna wait for another 3 months - KILLING ME.

Hi!

Just wondering if they are asking you for the same documents that they had requested for on Dec 1, 2017? Thanks.
