ADDING SPOUSE - Not Accompanying to Accompanying

Hi folks,

First, this is killing me. Please help me out.

Here is a timeline:
I received my approval in principle email last year in July.
I was requested to inform IRCC if my marital status has changed.
I informed them mine has changed from single to common-law partner.
Same as everyone, I then was requested to submit all the forms and stuff of my partner.

I thought (being stupid) that if my partner didn’t accompany me it would be easier to get approved again so I chose that she was not Accompanying, and didn’t pay the fee.

I recently noticed on this forum that it is very stupid not to apply for her PR at the same time. Cuz it will take much longer later to sponsor her as a spousal.

Now it’s been 5 months since IRCC received her information and health exam, etc. Her information is still under review and a decision is not yet made. Can I still ask IRCC to have my partner accompany me instead? Should I do that? And how to pay the fee now?

I heard most people wait for extra 3-6 months to get their approval, if I change this Accompanying information, will it make it even longer?

Please let me know - I have done probably everything wrong.

Thanks!
