Hello Friends
I am new to this forum but this forum has helped me immensely during my struggle through express entry for years. I got my PR last month and my medical expires on 2nd July,2019. I Got a PNP from Ontario.

My issue is I have my marriage planned for 18th April,2019. Now because I have been issued a PR, IRCC has said I contact them after I get married. I don't want to travel to Canada without my wife. I don't want we stay away for 14 months or so till all gets sorted.

I am planning to travel to Canada for a Month and get my PR card and come back. After I am back and married I will apply for my spouse Sponsorship from India.

I need to know if someone faced similar scenario and if there is a better alternative. Also If there is none than from outside Canada how much time did it take them to get their Spouse approved for PR.

Thanks for your helpful suggestions in advance guys.

I don't think you can sponsor immediately after short landing. You have to show you are settled in canada to sponsor.

So I can't call her for so long you mean? What about if I do a soft landing and do all processing from india. Will they allow it?

You can't sponsor your wife while you are in India. You have to be physically living in Canada in order to sponsor her. If your wife can obtain a visa and travel to Canada with you, you can file sponsorship application inland. Otherwise, you'll have to be papered to live apart while the sponsorship application is being processed.

The easiest way to do it would be to get married first, add your wife to your application, wait till IRCC process everything and issue you both new PR visa

Since your COPR/medicals expire after your wedding, you can delay the landing until after your wedding. Immediately after your wedding, you can inform CIC to add your spouse. They will cancel your current COPR and issue new COPR's for you and your spouse. Your spouse will have to be added to your application and they will have to undergo medical exam and provide PCC. This will take a few months to process, but it is the safest option.
If you want to expedite all this process, you can also do a court marriage earlier (religious ceremony can be done in April) and start the process of adding your spouse.

You need to be established economically in canada before sponsoring someone. For example show that you have a job in canada and can financially support her. It will take quite a long time. She won't be eligible for visitor visa as well in the meantime as she is showing immigrant intent (spouse canada PR)

Incorrect. There is no requirement to be economically established or have a job in Canada to sponsor. OP can sponsor as soon as he gets here provided he can show a sufficient financial plan on how they will support themselves in Canada without welfare.

Lampbreaker's advice is likely the most suitable. Don't land as a PR and add her to your app after getting married in April. It will add extra processing time but you will get PR together.
