Hi, I have a question, me and my fiance are planning to apply for canada’s PR under express entry. I will be the primary applicant and he will be the secondary applicant. We are not married yet and had planned to register are marriage after getting an invitation. So, if while creating my EE profile and mention the marital status as married however get our marriage registered after that, so will it be considered as false information??currently I have all the required score to create the profile so dont want to delay it as the marriage registeration will take sometime. Please suggest if this could lead to some issue?

Yes, it might create an issue as it is indeed a false information UNTIL the marriage is registered. Anyway you can't file application post-ITA without Marriage Registration certificate, so getting ITA is insignificant.

It will be a case of misrepresentation and will lead to serious consequences.

Thnx for your reply...so it means either we need to register our marriage before creating the ED profile....or is it possible ki currently I can create my profile as single and later on change the marital status after v register our marriage?? But what if I get an invitation before that...then how can I add my spouse if we wnt to get the PR together??

you can decline the invitation. since you're planning on getting married anyways why postpone it?

If you can get your marriage registered within 1 to 3 months, then it is better to wait for the marriage to be registered. If it is going to take more time, then you can create the profile as Single and after getting an invitation & submitting your PR application within this time frame, you can always raise a CSE to let CIC know about the change in your marital status. Once they have been notified, you will be requested for your spouses' documents. From what you have said, I feel that the registration is going to take less than 3 months, then i would suggest you to wait.
