Add Spouse in current PR application

Hi friends,

I am getting married in India on 9th June and my expected PR application approval date 27th May (request for passport). I am currently in Canada and traveling to India on 25th May.

Should I inform IRCC in the first week of May that I am getting married and would like to attach my spouse application to my current PR application? Do they reopen application immediately and how much time I will have to submit my spouse documents?

If I wait till 9th June to inform IRCC, I am afraid that my application might get approved by May end and I won't be able to submit my passport for stamping until the end of June.

Please guide me best possible options. Thanks in advance.

If you're not yet married to your spouse, you cannot add them unless you have been common-law.

If you get your PR before your wedding, you will need to land and activate it, and then you can apply for outland spousal sponsorship unless she has a visa and can come to Canada and then you can apply inland.
