Actual CRS points for Foreign Work Experience vs. points calculated on CRS Calculator

My actual CRS score is only 448 while in CRS Calculator it is 460. I reviewed and found that 12 points are missing because of foreign work experience for the past 10 years. What will be the years to be counted for the past 10 years starting this year 2021? I was here in Canada in January 18th 2014 and I worked in my home country until January 5th 2014 prior to going here in Canada? I am claiming 3 or more years of foreign work experience. So what year do I need to declare in order to have 3 years of foreign work experience? Seems that my profile is just calculating 2years and cannot understand this? This is confusing guys and will appreciate any of your help on this.

I’m just assuming but The start date of your 3 years foreign work experience should be from Feb 2011 onwards. If your foreign work experience between feb 2011 and Jan 2012 started before Feb 2011, (e.g., designation started feb 2010), it’ll be disregarded from the CRS calculation.

That is my understanding too, i.e. it will be calculated as just 2 years because I left my foreign job Jan.2011 and arrived in Canada Jan.2014, while 3 years count must start Feb.2011 until Feb 2014.

Something weird is happening though because, when I checked again my CRS score today, it becomes 460 from original 448. So the missing 12 was added. from 38 foreign work experience, it becomes now 50 (max.). I don't know if this is a technical glitch or miscalculation.

As long as you haven’t received an invitation, the CRS continuously recalculates as the months go by— deducting points for expired work experience (not from the last 10 years) and adding points as you reach a full year in your current job/work experience.

I checked again today and SAD that it returns to a lower CRS of 448......

Idk the composition of your foreign work experience. If it’s two jobs, and the first one is only for year and started before feb 2011, probably the system is not counting it anymore as it’s already ‘expired’, cannot be used for work experience points.
