Academic IELTS....Qorax ,Rockey and other valuable friends

Pls tell me if my academic IELTS is valid for immigration purposes,have you any reference that confirms academic is valid...because many colleagues in this forum said they succeeded with academic IELTS but i asked some of immigration consultants who said I have to write GENERAL module..pls help

Yes it is now valid. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf Section 11.5

Thanks a lot pMM u solved my issue but ,it says results should not be older than 1 year at the the time of application ...but my IELTS results show that its valid for 2 years ,cofusion.....is it initial application to CIO or later to High commission ?

Hi,
Your language test results (including IELTS) musts not be more than one year old at the time of Initial application to CIO.
This is irrespective of the validity period for the test result.

IELTS Academic is accepted from 10th April, 2010.

IELTS Result should not be older that 1 years at the time of sending intial application to Sydney, Canada.
