About The PRTD ...

Dear all,
I left Canada short time after landing and I didn't stay enough time to get my PR card
(left : 7/2015 )
I'm HOPING to go back in 6/2018 and I 'm planning to apply for a PRTD
My question is :
1-What are my chances of obtaining a PRDT note that I didn't exceed the time limit (the residency obligations 2 years in Canada out of 5)?
From 7/2015 to 6/2018 = 1064 days (almost 3 years out of Canada )
2- Do I have to apply for H&Cgrounds?

So when you landed did you give a Canadian address for your card to be mailed to and forwarded to you. I guess not if asking about a PRTD.

Given you are still within the possibility of meeting the RO there should be no issue in applying for a PRTD although having said that and others can comment the longer you leave it to closer to 3 years out to return the possibility and odds increase of questions being asked about your intentions . Plus as you know you will need to stay put for 2 years from 6/2018 without leaving at all to meet the RO.

H&C grounds rarely succeed anyway and there would be no need anyway if you return by 6/2018. Reasons such as job or finances never succeed for H&C as opposed to life or death situations which might have better odds but still rare.
