hello everyone i think the new law will be great but what about the inland application that have been married with there partner for the past 4year send there inland application to CIC 3 to 4 years ago and CIC tell them they have back log what will happen to people like that will they still go under probation

Is the same question that I have... I think it will be unfair if the inland application have to go with the same law.... hopefully is just for outland...

Can you please give a hyperlink with more information on this subject (preferrably a government website)? It's likely that a lot of people don't know about this new law and are curious to know more (like me :P)...

my understanding from the other thread on here, is that it has yet to be passed, that the immigration minister Jason Kenney, has just stated and done research concerning changing the law...

that is the link to the other thread!!

There is no law yet so nobody can really say what they will do until they publish it. However, it is looking likely at the moment that there will be some kind of temporary PR for spouses, possibly a 2 year card like in the US.
