Hi friends,

I have two questions:

1) I applied for the CPR (as a Federal Skill worker) in the last April. I have a PhD in Chemistry, and I wrote "Chemist (NOC 2112)" in the application. With the new rules this profession is not included in the famous list, but I also wrote "Professor of Chemistry" in my main duties. University Professor is included in the list. Can they accept my profession as a University Professor??

2) I am also applying to a PostDoc in one of the Canadian Universities. If this position is approved..Could it be considered an employment offer in Canada???, What is the meaning of an employment offer??

Thanks a lot,

1) You can contact them and ask them to change your NOC, proving that you have a claim to that NOC. I can't say for sure if they will accept it though.

2) You need an arranged employment opinion (AEO) to use a job offer to speed up an FSW application. The employer has to appy for the AEO at Service Canada.
