ABOUT PERMANENT RESIDENT OF CANADA

Hi,

I am an International student from India. I have finished Post-Graduation in Mohawk College Hamilton Ontario with the program of International Business Management.

Right now I have applied for my work permit and I am moving to Saskatchewan next month but as I like in Ontario only I need your advice how to stay here. I want to know that if I get job in Subway i.e., is a Restaurant with the position of Manager handling almost everything can I am eligible to put up my file for Permanent Resident and if yes what is the processing time.

Further I would like you to know that the program which I have finished is only of 1 year and I will only get work permit of 1 year. So within this period can I put up my file for Permanent Residency.

you cannot file for Canadian experience class as your work permit is only 1 year so even though it might be somewhat possible, it is still pretty hard...If you get a manager postion and remember a "manager" postion, than you can apply as this probably comes under the NOC O category..Your best bet is to apply for Ontario PNP for a nomination and than you can extend your work permit as well without any excessive paperwork.
